Welcome to the mid-month September
Dragon Empires newsletter. It's a pleasure to announce
a few interesting Dragon Empires events coming up
in the next two weeks as well as a new competition!
Art
Development Diary
We had a great response from the first in our diary
entries on the development of a monkey empire building
and so I'm sure you'll be interested in seeing the
second instalment. Check out our dev diaries section
on Friday the 27th for an interview with the modeller
building the monkey empire house and learn about how
he went about it.
Dev chat
There will be two Stratics House of Commons Dragon
Empires dev chats on Monday the 30th at 7pm GMT and
7pm PST. With all the recent art releases I'm sure
we'll have a lot to talk about. As usual I will be
there and it is likely we'll see Ted Carron, our Producer
and Mark Zechial, designer, as well as various other
staff members. To access the chats point your irc
client to irc.stratics.com and join #de-dev chat or
go to http://chat.stratics.com/
and follow the 'chat now' link on the left, type in
a nickname, put de-devchat in the channel box and
click connect. See you there!
Limerick
competition!
In honour of the several Irish people
who have recently joined our team we are having a
limerick competition! Your task, should you chose
to accept it, is to write a witty limerick on the
theme of Dragon Empires (or the team) and then to
send it in to us at dec@codemasters.com. The competition
runs from the 20th of September to the 16th of October
and everyone is eligible to enter and you may enter
as many times as you wish. The winner of the competition
will have his or her limerick plastered all over the
web and will receive a first-phase beta account, a
Dragon Empires T-Shirt and a signed concept art render.
