Dragon Empires special newsletter - 21st July: Calistas hands the baton to Satine

Hi everyone,

Today we have a special newsletter in order to bring you some
important community news.

I have some sad news to tell you - on the 23rd of July I will be
leaving Dragon Empires to return home to New Zealand. Back at
Christmas some of you may recall I got engaged to my partner June and
having set a date and a place for the wedding it has become clear we
need to be in New Zealand to have any chance of getting everything
organised in time.

While I'm sad to be leaving I am pleased to announce that Sam 'Satine'
Russell will be taking  over in my place. Sam has proven a real asset
to development and has done an excellent job of working with beta
testers and the community. I'm sure you'll join me in congratulating
Sam and will go easy on her while she finds her feet in her new role!

It has been a real pleasure working on Dragon Empires these past two
years and I've met a lot of great people, both in the studio and in
the community. Even though I am going I am still excited by the game
and will make sure to follow it in between sailing and sitting on the
beach (jealous yet?!).

I wish everyone the very best and I hope to see you all in-game! I
swear, the Greenwater Empire will be mine, all MINEEEeeeee!
